| During my first year at SUNY Stony Brook, I began exploring mixed Lithographic Processes and the use of found imagery. PhotoShop rendered images became incorporated. The images used were discovered in various 1960's Instruction Manuals. At Stony Brook, my first time truly living outside of Indiana, I threw myself into my work, creating three large size editions in two semesters and using new techniques. The following three images are samples from the first two series. |
The top images use PhotoLithography for the background and air conditioned figures, the texture and tube shape are rendered in traditional stone lithography, and the blue images are rendered in Plate Lithography. The other versions have alternating color schemes. The bottom image is one in a series of Xerographic Prints where the instructions for relaying messages are overlayed on home improvement figures installing air conditioners. Each is overlayed on top of a male torso. |
